Corporate Visual Identity

The visual identity elements of your Brand play a very important role in the way an organization presents itself to both internal and external stakeholders. A corporate visual identity expresses the values and ambitions of an organization, its business, and its characteristics.

Identity elements include:

  • Corporate logo/colours – The logo is a graphical element, symbol, icon, etc. that, together with its wordmark or logotype (a uniquely set and arranged typeface) form a trademark or commercial brand. A logo's design is for immediate recognition.
    The corporate or company colours are a carefully selected set of colours that represent the most instantly recognizable elements of the corporate visual identity. These colours represent the organization and create a non-verbal, emotional connection to the stakeholders.
  • Corporate stationery – a critical part of the visual indentity system consisting of business cards, letterhead, envelopes, labels, forms etc. Many of these can be created as electronic based items and still follow the same graphic system for consistency and order to display the corporate logo, colours, graphic elements, etc. It creates an important personal communication to the stakeholders throughout all forms of day to day transactions.
  • Marketing collateral – these corporate pieces help to communicate your Brand messaging to meet customer need and/or to support sales initiatives. This includes pieces like corporate brochures, pamphlets, annual reports, advertisements, signage, promotional pieces, and today, most importantly website design.

Corporate Website - Corporate sites differ from electronic commerce, public or internal portals (or intranets). Generally the corporate site provides information to the public about the company rather than transacting business or providing other services.

Nearly every organization that interacts with its stakeholders has a corporate site or else integrates the same features into its other websites however the market trends are now allowing many variations of an organization’s website and some integrate all it’s aspect of business under one site and Brand message.
